Fall 2013: CHANEL Superstition Makeup Collection.

The new CHANEL Superstition Makeup Collection is in a word - beautiful. With shades of khaki, which can be worn by everyone, and matching pairs for cheeks and lips, this one has me yearning for fall and cooler weather now.

A firm believer in luck, Gabrielle Chanel surrounded herself with her favorite charms and talismans, as much for good fortune as for inspiration. The symbols that warded off superstitious fears now serve as silent muses for an enchanting Fall makeup collection. Sumptuous khaki tones are set off by new ‘lucky charm’ duos: entrancing, shade-matched pairs for cheeks and lips.

I love makeup shades that match, and pairing up cheek and lip colors are genius, especially when you want everyone to look at your eyes. Trust me, with these shades, that is where you want the focus to be, because the quad and shadows (Gri-Gri!) are intoxicating. I can't get enough. I think the pairs provide the perfect balance and help those that have problems when selecting coordinating colors, especially when going for a bolder lip and eye.

The metallic and khaki shades in this palette are captivating. Like I mentioned above, you want the eyes to take center stage when using a palette like this. The colors are so incredibly beautiful, no matter how you wear them.

I have been wearing Golden Ivory on my brow bone, Silver Taupe all over my lid with Golden Khaki in the outer crease. Matte Khaki is perfect as a complementary liner.

Eyes are beautiful with these chic powder shadows in soft lavender and luminous taupe. Gri-Gri is going to be one of my all time favorites, I already know. The shimmering taupe shade reflects the light so beautifully. Pair the shades together for a soft, shimmering neutral fall eye.

Maybelline New York is putting a stylish twist on its classic Great Lash Mascara. For the month of August, they have added six limited edition shades. As we saw at New York Fashion Week, the fall season is going to include a lot of jewel tones and a lot of beautiful makeup. These limited edition mascara shades will complement that, as they are the hottest jewel toned shades themselves.

The six shades:

Great Lash Mascara conditions, as it thickens for thick, lush lashes. Use the new shades on their own, on top of your favorite black mascara, or be subtle and just paint the tips a fun colorful shade.

Fall 2013: NARS Fall Color Collection.

It's time to start talking fall. I know we are just half way through July, but the fall collections are hitting counters now and it's time to start shopping for your new fall faves. The NARS Fall Color collection was the first fall collection across my desk. It is nothing short of stunning.

The collection really plays up the eyes in wearable matte shades. I ususally don't go for matte, but the NARS matte formula is perfect. It is silky and soft, but adheres to the lid with ease as it fills them with beautiful color. The overall look is sultry.

I am loving the combination of Yamal all over the eye, with Bavaria on my outer lid and crease. I am lining with Via de' Martelli, a beautiful chocolate brown, that looks like a creamy copper on my eye. Forget waiting until fall, this look is gorgeous right now.
